Weeds can be a problem and if neglected can take over your yard. These noxious little critters can be characterized as selected vegetation that is undesired within other vegetation that is selectively desired. Common weeds to central Oregon include nap weed, dandelion and broad leaf.
In general, there are four types of selective Herbicides that can be used to fight weeds:
- Grass killers…………….. Grass killers will kill grass and do not usually harm leafy plants
- Broad Leaf Killers…………….. Broad Leaf Killers are the opposite of grass killers. They can be sprayed on the lawn to kill weeds but not the lawn.
- Broad Spectrum Non-Selective Herbicides…………. Broad Spectrum Non-Selective Herbicides will kill off pretty much anything a s they are not selective
- Seed Killers…………….Seed Killers will kill seeds but not established vegetation
