  • Drip irrigation uses flexible plastic tubing with tiny holes or “emitters” that slowly drip water into the soil. Although drip irrigation can be a little more time consuming in both installing and maintaining you will find that it is much more efficient then the soaker hose, using less water (depending on size and quantity of emitters) and since the emitters are under each plant you will have less weeds
  • Soaker hoses are made of porous material that “leak” or seep water all along their length. Soaker hoses are fairly easy to install although its not as easy to manipulate the water to each location and since the water is seeping along the length of the hose you most likely have more weeds.
