Spacing between rows: The ideal spacing between the rows in your garden provides ample room for your plants to grow and for you to work in. In most cases it is a good idea to leave at least 18 to 36 inches of space between each row of plants.
Spacing between seeds or pants: When planting it is important to consider the type of plant you are growing. Depending on the plant it will need anywhere from 4″ to 24″ of spacing. For instance; smaller pants such as carrots, beets and onions only require 4″ of spacing in a row where as larger plants such as eggplant and summer squash need closer to 24″ of spacing
